Contemporary/Modern jazz is an expressive type of dance. It contains elements of different genres such as modern, jazz, lyrical, ballet and acrobatics. It's a dance where you get to connect with your inner emotions and communicate them through movements. The class is based firstly on technique and strength, specific dance moves and then a choreography. You can also expect floorwork, piruets and jumps during the class. You are guaranteed a fun and challenging time. The class is all level so everybody is welcome!

The classes are taught by Annika Spanggaard. She has been a professional dancer and teacher in Switzerland, France, England and Denmark over the past 15 years. She has starred in theater and dance shows such as in Tivoli (plænen & pantomimeteatret), various dance videos internationally, and toured with a french contemporary dance company, as well as 2 other french dance groups. She's also currently working as the choreographer of musicals for young talents. Besides her dance career, Annika has a master's degree in sports physiotherapy, and works as a neuro-trainer to optimise sports performance for athletes - which she has also used on dancers.
