Salsa in Spanish means sauce or an aromatic spicy taste and the music/dance is like that because
it is a mixture of elements from Cuban rhythmic traditions such as mambo, rumba, son
and cha-cha-cha. Salsa has spread from Cuba first to the U.S. and Latin America, then worldwide.
On her journey, salsa has taken many new forms, but it is the Cuban style – stimulating, playful and
above all cheerful – that our salsa classes offer. The modern Cuban salsa ranges
from romantic ballads to frantic timba – in the class, the tempo will be adjusted to
the level of participants.
